Barts Electric, a leading national electrical construction contractor, is setting the bar high for its team of electricians. In a recent video, the company emphasizes the incredible opportunities it provides to its workforce, positioning them not just as electricians but as skilled professionals with the potential for career growth beyond traditional roles.

Opportunities Beyond Scale

The video starts with a powerful message to the assembled team – everyone in the room is paid Above Scale. This achievement is not just a testament to individual skills but reflects the company’s commitment to providing opportunities for growth and advancement. Barts Electric is proud to share the success stories of individuals who initially joined as electricians and have since evolved into roles beyond the typical scope of their profession.

Breaking Barriers

Barts Electric recognizes that in a non-merit world, the journey from electrician to an office position may be an uphill battle. However, the company prides itself on breaking these barriers. The speaker in the video notes that in the absence of the company’s growth strategy, he would still be working in the field as an electrician. This acknowledgment highlights the unique approach Barts Electric takes in fostering career progression for its employees.

The Growth Strategy

The video emphasizes that Barts Electric’s ambitious goal of transforming electricians into skilled professionals is achievable with a strategic approach. The company encourages its team to adopt the same mindset and strategy that has led to the success stories already witnessed. The message is clear: if they can do it with 10 individuals, they can replicate this success with 20, 200, or more. It’s not just a lofty goal; it’s an attainable one with the right strategy and determination.

Incentivizing Success

Barts Electric understands that success is not just about individual growth but also about delivering exceptional results for the customer. The company incentivizes its electricians to complete projects efficiently, turning a two-year job into an 18-month or 20-month endeavor. This not only benefits the company but also allows the workforce to move on to the next challenge, ensuring continuous professional development and financial success.

Always Hiring

As part of its commitment to growth, Barts Electric is always on the lookout for new talent. Whether you’re an aspiring electrician or an experienced journeyman, the company encourages individuals to explore the exciting opportunities it offers for career advancement.

Barts Electric’s dedication to transforming electricians into skilled professionals is evident in its Above Scale workforce. The company’s growth strategy, commitment to breaking barriers, and emphasis on incentivizing success showcase its unique approach to the electrical construction industry. For those considering a career or looking to advance in the field, Barts Electric stands as a beacon of opportunity and growth.

It’s a lofty goal, but it’s new. Look at you guys—everybody in this room is a paid Above Scale. You’re Above Scale now. Think about that, the opportunity that you have. Almost everybody in this room came to us as electricians. What have we done? The opportunity has grown us to where we’re not electricians anymore.

So, if we were all in the non-merit world right now, including myself, I’d be an electrician. They wouldn’t want me in the office. They wouldn’t give me that opportunity in the office. You think about that. If we can do it with 10, we can do it with 20. We can do it with 200. But it takes that same strategy that you guys have.

It’s a lofty goal, but think about what we could be to the customer. We have zero desire to make a seven-month job an eight-month job or an eight-month job or a two-year job, a two-and-a-half-year job. Our guys are incentivized to make that two-year job an 18-month job or a 20-month job instead, so that they can move on to the next one. That’s how they’re going to be more successful. That’s how they’re going to make more money. And that message, they’re just gobbling it up.

Keep it going, guys. We’re definitely on the right track here
