And so, it’s good to recognize that those women helped pave the way for today’s women to go into the field and feel more comfortable and feel more embraced. It’s a great thing to let women know that this is a field that’s open to them, that things have changed in the construction field a little bit, and it’s more embracing and welcoming of women, really looking for their input.

It gives them an opportunity, maybe, to see a little bit of what the construction industry offers. It probably has a wider offering than what they realize from my experience. Because I’ve been a project manager, but I started out as a project assistant, and I grew into that position. So, I’m seeing more and more women that started out as project assistants go in and want to be project managers.

You know, I enjoyed working before in the field, going out to the job sites because I’m not afraid to tackle new things.
