Barts Electric, a renowned national electrical construction contractor, is at the forefront of revolutionizing the electrical industry. In a recent video, the company showcased its commitment to efficiency and excellence in the field, providing valuable insights for both experienced electricians and those aspiring to join the trade. As Barts Electric continues to expand its operations, the company emphasizes its continuous need for skilled electrical apprentices and experienced journeymen, making it an ideal destination for those seeking growth in their careers.

Efficient Branch Wire Installation

The video begins with a focus on the meticulous process of pulling out branch wires and completing terminations down the line. This crucial step ensures that panels and power systems are ready for activation. Barts Electric highlights the significance of precision and accuracy in these tasks, showcasing the company’s commitment to delivering high-quality electrical construction services.

Prefabrication and Modularization

A key element in Barts Electric’s approach is the emphasis on prefabrication and modularization. The video reveals that 90 percent of the MC work involved in the project was prefabricated. This includes straight pipes without boxes, destined for data drops, fire alarm installations, and other low-voltage applications throughout the entire building.

The prefabrication process involved cutting materials to exact lengths, installing boxes, and incorporating necessary elements such as mounting brackets and ground stingers. The result is a streamlined process that significantly reduces on-site labor and installation time. The prefabricated components, neatly coiled and organized, were transported to the construction site, ready for quick and efficient installation.

Kitting for Precision

To further enhance efficiency, Barts Electric adopted a kitting approach, organizing materials per room. This ensured that electricians didn’t have to search for components when on-site, saving valuable time. The company’s commitment to meticulous planning and organization shines through in this method, with each pallet indicating 100 percent readiness for a specific room.

The Future of Electrical Construction

Barts Electric expresses its eagerness to pursue similar projects in the future, leveraging the knowledge gained from this successful venture. By demonstrating the feasibility and advantages of prefabrication, the company sets the stage for a new era in electrical construction, one that prioritizes efficiency without compromising quality.

Join Barts Electric: Opportunities for Electricians

As the video unfolds, Barts Electric extends an invitation to electricians at all levels. The company is actively seeking electrical apprentices and experienced journeymen to join its dynamic team. As a national player in the electrical construction industry, Barts Electric offers a platform for continuous learning, career advancement, and the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge projects.

Barts Electric’s commitment to innovation in electrical construction is evident in its strategic use of prefabrication, modularization, and efficient kitting processes. This video serves as an informative guide for both experienced electricians and aspiring individuals looking to enter the field. With Barts Electric’s ongoing expansion, the company remains dedicated to providing opportunities for growth and development within the electrical industry.

Getting all the branch wire pulled out, getting all the terminations down line hooked up, so that way we’re to the point of turning on the panels and power and stuff whenever they’re ready to get power to us. This was all the mc work that we’ve seen coiled up; it’s 90 percent of what this is. A lot of the straight pipe you’ve seen without boxes on it went into the walls for data drops, fire alarm drops, and all the low voltage drops basically in the whole building, for the most part.

All the mc work and all the prefab went into this area. It was cut to exact length, box to box. All the boxes already have their muttering ground stingers, brackets, everything on the doors. Just throw it in the wall and move on. Nick, kind of piping and work, pulling wire to go after everybody, would just be non-feasible in the short amount of time we had. So, in order to prevent that workload, we took it all to the shop and had it all pre-fabbed and pulled everything forward from there.

Everything was kitted per room, so we didn’t have to go searching for material. We knew when that pallet was in that room, we were 100 percent ready. We wanted to pursue more of these in the future; we have that opportunity and we have the knowledge to start pushing forward on.
