Job Summary:

Provides front-line technical assistance to customers and internal teams by diagnosing issues, delivering solutions, and ensuring a high-quality service experience. Serves as the bridge between users and technical teams, resolving product, system, or service problems efficiently while documenting interactions and identifying recurring trends.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for users seeking technical assistance via phone, email, chat, or ticketing system.
  • Troubleshoot basic hardware, software, network, and system issues using established procedures and knowledge base resources.
  • Document all support interactions, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions accurately within the ticketing system.
  • Install, configure, and maintain standard desktop software, applications, and peripheral devices.
  • Assist with user account setup, password resets, access permissions, and system onboarding tasks.
  • Provide clear, step-by-step guidance to users with varying levels of technical proficiency.
  • Monitor system alerts and service queues to ensure timely response and resolution.
  • Follow IT policies, security procedures, and data protection standards.
  • Contribute to knowledge base documentation by identifying recurring issues and documenting solutions.
  • Support equipment inventory tracking and basic asset management activities.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Strong understanding of computer hardware and software systems.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to explain technical issues to technical and nontechnical employees and customers.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn an array of computer hardware and software.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience, preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
