Position Summary:
We are seeking a Paralegal to support a wide range of legal and administrative functions, with a strong preference for candidates who have experience in construction contracts and real estate matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide paralegal support to the legal team, with primary focus on construction contracts and real estate–related matters
- Draft, review, and revise construction contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, change orders, and related project agreements
- Maintain and manage contract templates; track execution, amendments, renewals, and compliance with company standards
- Assist with real estate transactions, including preparation and organization of deeds, easements, title commitments, surveys, and closing documents
- Coordinate with title companies, lenders, brokers, municipalities, and internal project teams throughout due diligence and closing processes
- Track and manage critical deadlines related to contracts, inspections, permitting, liens, and project milestones
- Support risk management efforts by reviewing insurance certificates, indemnity provisions, and scope-of-work documentation
- Assist with lien waivers, preliminary notices, statutory filings, and other construction compliance documentation
- Organize and maintain legal files, contract repositories, and project records
- Support claims, disputes, and litigation matters by organizing documentation, assisting with discovery, and coordinating with outside counsel
- Provide general administrative and operational support to the legal team as needed (approximately 25% of the role)
Qualifications:
- Paralegal certificate, associate’s degree, or equivalent practical legal experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a paralegal or legal support role; experience with construction contracts and/or real estate matters strongly preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple contracts, projects, and deadlines simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable working with internal stakeholders and external parties
- High attention to detail and ability to exercise sound judgment in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with contract management or document management systems preferred
- Professional, discreet, and proactive, with a problem-solving mindset
