At Barts Electric, we believe in more than just wiring and power systems — we believe in building careers, communities, and confidence from the ground up. As a national electrical construction contractor, we’re proud to provide opportunities for both experienced electricians and those just starting their journey in the trade.

A Hands-On Start to a Rewarding Career

One of our apprentices recently shared his experience about what it’s like to begin a career at Barts Electric:

“I spent about a month in the shop and got to see a lot of cool stuff I never thought I’d ever see. It’s been a good choice for me so far on coming to Barts Electric. Way different than anything I’ve ever done — a lot more challenging, and it’s just a lot. I wanted something ground up that I could start and be on till the finish.”

From your first day, you’ll work with real materials, real tools, and real people — learning the trade through hands-on experience. Whether you’re helping with new construction or maintaining existing electrical systems, every project offers a chance to grow your skills and confidence.

Teamwork and Mentorship

Another key part of the Barts Electric experience is the people. Our teams are known for being supportive, approachable, and collaborative:

“Just getting to know a lot of different people too. A lot of the KBY people that are out here are super nice. The head of maintenance comes over quite a bit — he talks to us, trying to learn the job just as much as we are. Trying to get his feet wet, make sure he’s ready for coming over here.”

At Barts Electric, mentorship is built into the job. From journeymen sharing decades of experience to leaders who are always willing to get involved, every member of the crew contributes to a culture of learning and mutual respect.

Pride in Every Project

When you work at Barts Electric, you’re not just installing conduit or pulling wire — you’re helping bring complex systems to life. You’re part of something tangible, something lasting. As one team member put it:

“They have tours and stuff. The guy that leads them most of the time — every time he comes in, he’s shaking your hand, talking to you like you’ve known him all your life.”

That’s the kind of respect and connection that comes from doing great work, together.
