If you’re an electrician, or you’re exploring the trades and wondering what a real career path looks like, this video offers a quick but meaningful look at the culture inside Barts Electric—a national electrical construction contractor that’s been building projects (and people) for more than three decades.

In the video, we’re standing in the lobby at Barts Electric, celebrating a milestone year: 34 years in business. But the message goes beyond an anniversary. It’s about what it feels like to work somewhere that takes pride in its craft, invests in its facilities, and—most importantly—shows up for its people.

A New Space That Reflects Who Barts Electric Is

The speaker highlights that Barts Electric is now in a new, completely remodeled building, and the lobby “is just amazing”—described as one of the prettiest rooms they’ve seen, decorated for the Christmas season with trees and a welcoming atmosphere.

That might sound like a small detail, but for electricians and apprentices, environment matters. A facility that’s cared for often reflects an organization that’s serious about:

  • Professionalism and safety
  • Long-term growth
  • Team pride and shared standards
  • Creating a place people want to come to every day

The excitement in the video isn’t just about a remodel—it’s about momentum heading into 2026.

The “Giving Machine” and a Culture of Looking Out for Each Other

A major theme in the transcript is generosity and teamwork. In the lobby, Barts Electric hosts a giving machine where employees donate, and Barts Electric matches employee donations.

The speaker shares how the company’s giving effort stacked up impressively—comparable to donations collected around a major pro football game—pointing to a culture where people don’t just talk about values, they live them.

Even more telling: the transcript describes multiple moments where employees, without being asked, rally around coworkers going through hard times—“passing the hat,” quickly raising meaningful support, and stepping in when someone is struggling.

“We Build Each Other”: What That Means for Electricians and Apprentices

Barts Electric’s motto is simple and powerful: “We build each other.” For someone already in the trade, that can mean having a crew that’s genuinely committed to your success—on the job and off the job. For someone considering becoming an electrician, it signals something equally important: you’re not just signing up for work, you’re joining a team.

In electrical construction—especially at a national contractor level—your growth depends on steady opportunities, strong mentorship, and coworkers who take pride in doing things the right way. The moments described in this video are a snapshot of what “team” looks like when it’s real.

Interested in the Trade? Barts Electric Is Hiring

If this is the kind of culture you want to be part of, it’s worth knowing that Barts Electric is always hiring:

  • Electrical apprentices (including those who want to start a long-term career in the trade)
  • Experienced journeymen looking for their next strong team and consistent work

As a national electrical construction contractor, Barts Electric supports projects and career paths that can grow with you—whether you’re learning the basics or bringing years of field experience to the table.

Final Takeaway

This video may start in a beautiful, remodeled lobby—but it’s really about the people behind the work. The generosity, the excitement, the pride in the company’s growth, and the consistent theme of supporting one another all reinforce what Barts Electric stands for.

For electricians, future electricians, and anyone who values both craftsmanship and community, Barts Electric’s message is clear: we don’t just build electrical projects—we build each other.

We’re in the lobby at Barts Electric.

We’ve been in business for 34 years this year, and we’re so excited. We’re in our new building. It’s completely remodeled. The lobby is just amazing. It is one of the prettiest rooms I’ve seen. It’s got the Christmas trees. It’s just amazing. They’ve done a great job here, and it really shows the enthusiasm and the fun and the excitement at Barts Electric, and we are really excited about 2026.

We have the giving machine here. We’re matching what the employees donate. And we heard that we collected as much as they collected the Chief’s game. So, it’s unbelievable the generosity and the friendship and how much people really care about each other here.

Just this week, we’ve had three employees that had some events in their life. Barts Electric, through the years, I’ve seen this over and over. Just like the giving machine, we’ve asked them to donate generously, and the company will match it. The employees, without me asking, they do it this every time. They hear about someone suffering or struggling, they jump in, they pass the hat around, and they collect a couple thousand dollars really just quick.

How good, how special the people are here at Barts Electric, how much they care about each other. And our motto is we build each other. And it’s amazing to see how much of that’s going on at Barts Electric. And this Christmas season’s a great example of that. And this lobby is just a representation of Barts Electric and all of the great people at Barts Electric.
