Project Safety

Safety is TOP Priority

Safety is not just a word at Barts Electric. Each project has it’s own unique set of challenges. We meet those challenges by establishing an atmosphere of Safety on each job. Each Employee is expected to contribute to improving the company’s safety program. We foster an atmosphere of learning and improvement… Starting with the owner and permeating through the entire organization. We back up the talk with ACTION…

Safety Gear

Each employee is issued safety gear; such as hard hats, safety glasses, earplugs and other hearing protection, gloves and other items as needed. We train our employees in the proper use of these items, and enforce the continuous and proper use of Safety Equipment. First Aid Kits and Fire Extinguishers are also kept on Every jobsite.

Safety Director

In order to ensure that our job sites Start safe and STAY safe, EVERY Job is assigned an in house Safety Director. In most cases, this person is also the job foreman, but on larger projects it is common for Bart’s Electric to assign a jobsite Safety Training Coordinator to assist the Safety Director.

The Training Coordinator, coupled with RANDOM Safety Inspections conducted by an Outside Safety Consulting Firm, helps us to stay in tune with the safety environment and Needs of our Employees.

Toolbox Safety Meetings

The on the job Toolbox Talks have been very effective in our organization. These mini safety seminars are a part of every employee’s WEEKLY safety training. A formal safety meeting outline is followed with each employee signing to acknowledge their responsibility to a safe jobsite.

Safety Inspections… By an Outside Safety Consultant

Bart’s Electric believes that safety is of the utmost importance. A Safety Program is active and changing to meet each job’s unique “personality”. One method commonly employed is to hire an outside firm to audit our Job site Safety practices.
